Batangas City, Batangas – Justice Secretary Leila De Lima has nullified in a resolution the amendments made to Batangas City Ordinance No. 20, series of 2013, which provides an updated schedule of new market value of all real properties in Batangas City, for being contrary to law.
In her eight-page resolution penned on June 6, de Lima voided the ordinance for its failure to comply with the procedural requirements under Article 276 of Administrative Order No. 270 or the Implementing Rules and Regulations of the Local Government Code.
